We're thrilled that you are joining us again this year in historic downtown Fredericksburg April 11-13!
As married believers, I think we can all say that our lives are truly "better together"!
God has put each of our marriages together according to his sovereign grace. It is his express will that our marriages last eternally, mirroring the loving, God-honoring relationship that Christ has with his bride, the church, for as long as we live on this earth. We hope this short weekend getaway with each other will assist you in doing just that!

Where We Are Meeting:
The Hyatt Place Historic Downtown Fredericksburg

Cost:
- The total conference fee: $350 ($320 for those couples that attended September's Couples Saturday)
- Please pay balance in full by: April 7, 2024

Check In:
Check-in starts at 3:30pm Thursday. When you arrive, simply go to the front desk and tell them your names and that you are with Wayside Baptist for the Marriage Retreat. Your rooms have been reserved by the church, under your name!
Sessions + Schedule:
Pastor Joshua Grubbs and his wife, Kim, will be with us again this year. The Grubbs are gifted speakers who have been married for 25+ years. They wear their hearts on their sleeves and are eager to share all God has done in their life, marriage and family.
Thursday
- Checkin: 3:30pm
- Dinner: Dutch
- Welcome + Opening Session in Hotel Conference Room: 7:00pm
- Group Discussion: 7:45pm
Friday
- Breakfast: Provided by hotel
- Session: 9:30am
- Break + Group Picture: 10:15am
- Session: 10:30am
- Lunch / Freetime: 11:15am
- Session: 7:00pm
- Closing Group Discussion + Recap: 7:45pm
Saturday
- Breakfast: Provided by hotel
- Checkout by 11am
We purposely wanted to give a slower, no-obligation morning on Saturday. Enjoy sleeping a little longer, go out to breakfast with friends or explore/shop a little before you head home!
What to Bring for Sessions:
Every session will be a deep-dive into a biblical concept concerning marriage. Bring your Bible and a notebook/pen to make sure you're able to follow along and glean all you can from the teaching. Snacks, drinks and coffee will be provided for each session, but feel free to bring your own snacks and refreshments to the sessions as well. (As long as it's not liquor or sardines.)
Attire:
This is a casual event. This will be a low-key, informal weekend with your spouse and friends. (That being said, pajamas during sessions will be frowned upon and clean clothes are absolutely encouraged.)
Meals:
The hotel will be providing breakfast each day, and snacks and refreshments will be provided by Wayside upon arrival in your rooms. Thursday dinner, and Friday lunch + dinner will be dutch. There are TONS of great eating options within 10 minutes of the hotel!
